What’s ACB Exchange?

Hello everyone; my name is Mika.

I am running this community, and I’d like to introduce myself.

I was born and raised on this beautiful island, Okinawa, Japan.

As a child, I loved learning English even though I couldn’t speak much. I joined as many events as possible with English speakers, such as festivals or homestays, because I was interested in the different food, language, and culture.

Now that I’m an adult, I teach English to Japanese children, and I would like them to have the same opportunity I used to have as a child.

Okinawa has such a unique environment, and all children should have the chance to communicate or have experiences with people from different countries using their English.

I dream that whoever experiences our program will open up their minds and accept the differences and diversity of people and lead multicultural coexistence in the future.

 

If you are interested in different cultures, want to teach English to Okinawan children, or cooperate with my dream while you’re in Okinawa, I’d love for you to be a host!

Let’s do fun things and change Okinawan children's futures together.

 

Most Japanese children, including me, are so shy at first, but once we start breaking out of our shells and becoming friends, we don’t want you to let go!

I really hope that we can be a good team.
